Defense.....

I had one unforgettable event to write up.
Today one of my friend had his thesis defense. For those who are not aware of 'defense', it is a presentation of one's thesis. I had never seen such a volatile defense. The poor guy was bombarded with questions for which he didnt had enough answers. His thesis had lot of holes which were pinpointed correctly, at the same time I felt his commitee members took an adverse stand and virtually ganged against him. The poor advisor cant speak more and in the end my friend was thrashed beyong recognition. The commitee members were so blunt that they refusd to sign his thesis. why am I writing it here? is it because that I will also be facing the same commitee members in another four months time? but anyway I am preparing myself to face it. There are still 4 months to go and my advisor also would guide me more effectively after this disaster. In the end I pity my friend for what he did to bring such an ignominy. Sorry dude.. Hope I do much better thesis and graduate in december.
