SuiciDIE

There was a news article in which a woman has committed suicide for not able to watch her favorite movie. It is disgusting to read such news items. The saddest part is that the woman had 2 little kids. Does this woman know the value of her life? Did she ever think how much suffering she will be bringing on the two kids? Who will substitute her and bring up the children? There is no known substitute for mothers love and definitely the 2 kids do not deserve to be left alone all for her inability to watch a ‘junk’ Tamil movie. If she had waited for another week or so, the same Tamil movie would have been screened in some satellite television with this ad (ulaga thoLLaiKaatchigalil mudhal muraiaga…..). There can also be other reasons which forced her to take this extreme step. But this incident shows how people are nowadays becoming impatient in our society for even a slightest of disappointments. Before taking such an extreme step one should always think about the people who are physically disabled by birth and are fighting to live a dignified life in our society. They are the only people who know the true value of life and I salute them for their determination and perseverance.

Now on a lighter side, in future we might read the following news articles:

  • A man stopped his breath for not able to start his bike.
  • A grandpa kills himself after his walking stick got broken.
  • A woman ends her life for losing her favorite ‘windows’ blouse.
  • A college student jumped out of third floor for not receiving any SMS’es for 2 mins.
  • A hardcore Vijayakanth fan set himself on fire after losing his bid to get captain’s unwashed underwear from an auction.
  • A software engineer jumped into a well when his code ran without any bugs.
  • A college girl hanged herself when she was taught how to wear her ‘dupatta’ correctly.
  • A 6-months old baby attempted suicide after her repeated attempts to speak Tanglish failed.
